Order of the Round Table

Anam Chara – A Band of Soul Sisters

The Order of the Round Table is a band of soul sisters who are Royal Daughters of the King of Kings. We believe that we are not accidents of nature, but crafted in God’s image. He knew us before we ever arrived. (Psalm 139)

We believe that women are of great value to God, to their families, to society, and to each other. We are not called to compete with, or subjugate men. We are only to be what God created us to be… creators, producers, completers, helpers, trainers, encouragers, and nurturers. With Him, there is no difference in value between male and female, nor any race.  Our identity is God given, of great value, and full of purpose.

Our purpose is not only to become confident in who we’ve been created to be, but to consider that we each have a personal fifteen-foot sphere of influence/ministry. Everyone in the world has an effect on those people within a fifteen-foot radius of where they live, work and play. We aim on making it a good one.

ORT is not a traditional Bible Study group, but we are first and foremost Women of the Word. The Bible is our base and guide for living. We’re a support network of disciples making disciples, becoming alert to being there for each other, and discovering what it means to be the eyes and ears, and the hands and feet, of a loving God. We’re learning more about the God who promises “I have come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly.”

In our bands, we commit to meeting together, reading together, and praying together. Our theme verse is Hebrews 10:23-25.

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing,
but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Our commitment is to watch over each other, to be for each other, to encourage each other, and to build each other up.

The Mission: To Know and be Known - To Know Him and make Him Known. Changing the World One Person at a time…

Primary Purpose

Order of the Round Table Bands are groups of three to five people who regularly meet together, read together, and pray together. The Bible is our constitution and compass. We use the Word of God along with other life-changing Christian books to fill-up our hearts and spirits with the fullness of God and His love.

The first part of God’s good news is grasping God’s love for the world. The second half of the good news is learning to become that love in the world and for the world. Anam Chara – Soul Sisters, believe that experiencing the love of God and sharing it with each other and those in our spheres of influence, is our most significant purpose. It’s only through relying on Him to live His life in us and pour His love through us, that we can become all we’re intended to be. (Dependency = Power)

Our impact on the world is not for lack of information or better skills. When we have a connection problem, it’s not a content problem. Our challenge is not in learning more, but in loving more.

Our commitment is to watch over one another, to be for one another, to encourage one another, and to build each other up. Our meetings are weekly and consist of each person having the opportunity to talk about the things that God is working on in their lives. At every meeting, we read together, share together, and pray together. Then we watch our amazing Lord work out the details of His love in action.

“And again, I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:19-20
